11 year old Billy Higham is getting into the festive spirit with 'Billy's Blessing Bags', an initiative that he hopes will be a lifeline for Bolton's homeless this Winter.
We've featured Billy before on our website, as well as in the 2nd edition of SHARE. He's a young man with a big heart for those that are less fortunate than him.
Billy hit the headlines last year when he 'saved' Christmas for the homeless after Hope 4 Homeless struggled to find a venue for their annual Christmas meal. He asked his mum, Angela to post on Facebook to find a venue, ultimately leading to a venue being found.
This year sees the launch of 'Billy's Blessing Bags', which are toiletry bags full of essentials and of course the odd treat or six.
Items you may want include in the bags are:
This list isn't huge and you can buy many of these items very cheap from various Supermarkets in the borough. It's a wonderful initiative and a great way for you and your family to share your happiness and love to those less fortunate in Bolton this Christmas.
The blessing bags can be dropped off at Hope 4 Homeless UK on Tonge Moor Road and the deadline to do so is Friday 15th December.
