DAY 14 #POEMADAY: Jessica Ball

January 3, 2018

Jessica Ball

Out on the street

Gravel in your feet,

Frostbite on your knee

"Have you any spare change for me?"

The pavement as your pillow

Sleeping under the willow...tree

No food and no drink

No water from a sink,

Your stomach rumbles late at night

As all you want is something to bite,

So you beg for some change

Hoping that your life could rearrange...itself

But you give up all hope

And soon is inspired by a rope

To take away the pain

And hopefully find a world where all is sane
